1) Only the company for you are working right now with L1 VISA can apply for your green card. You should be able to get green card in 2-3 years if everything goes fine.
2) Your daughter can sponsor your green card when she is 21 years old. You cannot change job on L1. In order to change job, you have to find an employer who can sponsor H1B for you. H1b is another type of work visa.

I finally got my AP, 15 days after my EAD (100 days total) . I was happy to open the packet, until this......
THEY SENT ME MY AP WITH SOMEONE ELSE'S PICTURE!!!!!!!
Everything else is Correct (address, DOB, A# etc...)
GURUS, please advise what should I do...... I am so pissed!!!!! Thankfully my EAD has the correct pic.... I had done an E-file....June 7th and my previous AP expires Sept 20

Sorry to see that USCIS is bugging you. I think i know you from the "Letter to Ombudsman" forum ... I also got a useless RFE but not for experience letter, so you may use my experience letter as benchmark.
I asked my friend ( who is a Project manager at my old Company) to getted it notarized ( what we call attested at India) from the local Bank. The Bank officer will just make sure the undersigned is the actual signee... No company HR will do all the crap , so its better to go via the Friend/Ex-coworker route ... Unless you get GC , you need to maintain old relationships :) anyway , here you go ....

What is the difference between an affidavit and a letter? Affidavit is one that is not on a letter head and a letter is the one on a letter head or it depends on who is writing the letter?
Does 1 each serve the purpose?
With the initial packet, I had sent
1 letter from Company A (By the director on letterhead)
2 letters from Company B (1 from colleague on letterhead and 1 from HR on letterhead)

You have your main rectangle in layer 1.
You keep Layer 2 selected
Hold CTRL and click on layer one
This will select the area of your rectangle on layer 1
Your marquee however will be on layer 2. So nudge the marquee as it says, then fill it.
Keep Layer 2 selected still and then CTRL+Click on layer one to again select your original shape.
Delete the selected area in layer 2.
You keep Layer 2 selected
Hold CTRL and click on layer one
This will select the area of your rectangle on layer 1

My husband and I filed our documents last July 5. It reached USCIS on July 6. I was also confused whether to file or not but I said to myself that even if we don't win the lawsuit at least we tried. I know we all don't know the outcome of this whole fiasco but the only thing we can do is hope and pray for the best. My brother is also H1 and just waiting to adjust status like me and my husband but he hasn't filed his documents. I can't tell him what to do because it's his own decision. I do know that I feel good about our decision and no matter what the outcome is, I'm glad that my husband and I did file our documents. So come Monday, I'll be keeping my fingers crossed and praying for all of us. :)

Dude, It is only fair to say that your employer is entitled to keep his money, but if you are worried about not having pay stubs to prove your continuous employment then you work it out with your employer, pay back his money and get your salary. It won�t be easy cause you have already pissed him off.

This new law in its current form affects everyone who is here legally whether someone is a Student or H1B
1. Some one who is a student he gets extended OPT
2. The moment student want to file for H1, his employer should be willing to shell out nearly $10,000
3. Every extension subsequently costs same amount unless they dont increase it further.
4. Some one on H1b cant do consulting.
5. Some one whose EB petition is pedning and nearing 6th year is scrwed because of the reduction in VISA numbers and repealing of AC21.
6. Employers have to shell out $10000 every year to get extension.
A spoke with at least 10 people and have them signed up for IV.
Folks , Please talk about this issue when you make weekend calls. No one from EB community is spared from this draconian bill .
Make phone calls and have your people signed up for IV

If you apply in EB2 through your employer, you will be stuck with the same employer till the I-485 stage, that is when you will get EAD card, which would allow you to change employer under AC21 rule, but your new jobs must have the same job description.
The second option is more appealing, to wait till your US born child is 21 years, and then your child can apply for you in family based.
Either way it will take the same time :-), if you apply in Eb2 category now, it will take 20-25 years for your green card. If you wait for your daughter to get 21 years, then also it will take the same time.

I think you missed Danonline on a very important point; his French citizenship. I assume he is ROW and hope he isn't born in visa retrogressed countries.
I think Dan should be fine in getting his PR in couple of years and NOT 20-25 years as you mentioned earlier.

The priority date for Family Based First Preference is 15 Mar 2002, and my grandfather who is a citizen filed for my mom's Greencard in April 27 2002.

As far as extending her H1B goes, if there have been no other Employment-Based GC applications filed on her behalf, I dont think of any way that will allow you to extend her H1B short of time outside the country recapture (as suggested above)
Look at all the days she has been out of the US in the last 6 years and that might give you enough time to come up with options and file an extension ASAP.
Also, if willing to take a chance, she can use the 180 day rule to stay out of status, however I would strongly recommend against that since the consequences might affect any current or future GC petition..

why is this under "All other Green Card issues"? In this google era, you find solutions to most of your day to day problems with a simple google search. You don't have to create a separate thread for this.

Previous bills often serve as an estimate of one's monthly electricity usage. Any anamolies in current bills can be disputed on comparison with previous bills.
